Bored piers
With piers bored and cages in, before the concrete is ordered
Pier depth and diameter against the drawing, cage cover and position, and the base free of loose spoil and water
Learn more about the bored piers inspection →A Wyndham Vale build moves from bare clay to keys in months, and each trade buries the one before it. We attend at the seven points where that happens and check the work against the engineering for your lot.
One of our inspectors will call you back. If it is urgent, call 1300 471 805.
On the basalt clay of the volcanic plain the slab and its drainage carry more risk than usual, and in the Wyndham suburbs around it we keep recording bracing left off, beams poured narrow and wet areas formed without falls. None of it can be seen once the plaster and tiles go on.

Frame and pre-handover, then the slab pre-pour if the budget allows. Frame is the last look at structure, and the slab matters more than usual on reactive clay.
Our inspectors look and check by hand, nothing more invasive. We do not energise or test electrical work, pressure test plumbing, open up finished work, certify engineering or take soil samples. That work sits with the licensed trades, your engineer and the registered building surveyor.
One to two working days normally works. Pass on the supervisor's date the moment you have it, because stage dates move often.
